A worn finish is not a reason to throw out solid cabinets.
Most kitchens we are called to have cabinet boxes that are in good shape. What has aged is the surface: a dull or yellowed coating, chipped edges, greasy buildup around the stove, or a colour that no longer suits the room.
Tantallon grew quickly through the 2000s, so alongside older homes you will find plenty of newer houses in the Upper Tantallon and Hubley subdivisions. Many of those kitchens came with standard builder cabinets that are well made but plain. A professional sprayed finish in a colour you chose can make them look custom, for a fraction of what new cabinetry costs.
